Duplicate Bridge Club Event Details

The Tom Cheetham Nashua Duplicate Bridge Club is a duplicate bridge club, sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League. We offer duplicate bridge games every Wednesday at 12:00 PM. The program supports the Nashua Senior Activity Center in which it is located. Games are open to all, and we maintain a friendly, relaxed yet competitive environment where beginner duplicate players should always feel comfortable yet are our more expert players will enjoy a challenge.

There will be light snacks and water, but no coffee. Coffee will be available in the downstairs dining room until the game starts. Our director can fill in as a partner if needed. We would like to help our participants arrange for carpools/partners for nearby tournaments and clubs.

Meets in the Craft Room, second floor Nashua Senior Activity Center.

Charles River Cruise and IMAX Theater Event Details

Join us as we travel into Boston and step onboard the Charles RiverBoat Companies 90 minute sightseeing excursion aboard one of Boston’s only authentic riverboats. Your captain and crew will entertain and educate, pointing out the historic and cultural sights of Boston and Cambridge. Sights include Beacon Hill, Esplanade Park, Fenway Park, Back Bay and much more.

After our cruise we will go to the Cambridgeside Galleria and enjoy a leisurely lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. At the conclusion of lunch we will next go to the Museum of Science’s Mugar Omni Theater for their IMAX Theater presentation. This five-story-tall dome screen, wraps audiences in larger than life images of flora, fauna and faraway places.

Departs: Exit 8 at 8:30 AM Returns: Approx. 6:00 PM

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and Harvard Museum Event Details

Today we will travel into Boston and visit two of the most visited Museums in New England.

A stunning Venetian palace in the heart of Boston, this newly expanded masterpiece that is the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum features three stories of galleries created by Isabella Gardner at the turn of the last century; her eclectic and imaginatively-installed collection encourages visitors to think creatively about art.

At the conclusion of our visit to this museum we will be going to the Old Country Buffet for lunch.

After lunch we will go to Harvard University to explore the Museum of Natural History. The most visited attraction at Harvard, the museums historical collections, permanent galleries and temporary exhibitions enhance public understanding and appreciation of the natural world and the human place in it, and attract tourists from around the country and around the world.
